'Aula Financiera y Digital' (Financial and Digital Classroom), the educational platform backed by the Spanish Banking Association (AEB), CECA and the National Union of Credit Cooperatives (Unacc) to enhance everyone's financial knowledge and digital skills, is expanding its training programmes in 2025 with 82 new initiatives, videos and podcasts. This is a 15% rise over last year.

On its third anniversary, the platform has increased the total amount of training content available to more than 600 options. The initiatives listed on the website are broken down by the groups they target and the topics they cover and are delivered across a variety of formats and channels.

For example, 40% of the initiatives included in ‘Aula Financiera y Digital’ are face-to-face while a quarter are specifically addressed to vulnerable groups. By topic, one in three initiatives tackles cybersecurity.

On personal data protection, it is now a year since the launch of the 'Aula Financiera y Digital' cybersecurity section which features practical tips to avert cyber-scams, including a guide, videos and audio clips from experts. These contents are also provided in the “El sector bancario, contigo” (The Banking Industry With You) campaign on major radio stations.

The rise in the number of training programmes on the platform demonstrates the banking industry's commitment to financial and digital education to ensure that everyone can bank safely and confidently across all available channels. Finresp's latest figures reveal that over 3.5 million people benefited from industry-led financial and digital education programmes in 2023.

'Aula Financiera y Digital' is a unique training venue resulting from the commitments adopted in the Strategic Protocol to Strengthen the Social and Sustainable Commitment of the Banking Sector. The platform was recognised in 2022 with the 'Finanzas para Todos' (Finance for All) award, a financial education accolade sponsored by the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV), the Bank of Spain and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Business.
