The 'Aula Financiera y Digital', the educational platform promoted by the Spanish Banking Association (AEB), CECA and the National Union of Credit Cooperatives (Unacc) to facilitate access to all people and enable them to broaden their financial and digital knowledge in the different channels available, has expanded its training offer with 90 new training initiatives, an increase of 20%.
Now in its second year, this platform already has more than 500 initiatives, which further strengthens the banking sector's commitment to training all groups through the different channels available. In addition, in 2023 the number of face-to-face attendees to the various programmes offered by financial institutions has increased by 28%, while the number of accesses to on-line activities has doubled.
Forty-six percent of the training offered by the 'Aula Financiera y Digital' are classroom-based face-to-face initiatives, while a quarter of the contents are immediately accessible training tools through videos or podcasts. Recently, the platform has also added a specific area to promote cybersecurity awareness and prevention, in view of the widespread increase in cyber scams. Thus, 69% of the content of the 'Aula Financiera y Digital' is dedicated to digitalisation and cybersecurity.
The 'Aula Financiera y Digital' is now in its second year of activity and has become a unique training space, in line with the commitments adopted in the Strategic Protocol to Strengthen the Social and Sustainable Commitment of the Banking Sector. The platform - which was honoured with the 'Finanzas para Todos' (Finance for All) award, a financial education recognition promoted by the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV), the Bank of Spain and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Business - continues to grow with a view to providing all citizens with access to educational content on personal finance and digital skills.
