Alberto Aza, CECA spokesperson, took part in the financial education special published by ABC, emphasising the importance of working in this area at an early age.
The report analyses the current state of financial education in Spain, and notes how, despite the progress, there is still a long way to go. Alberto Aza, CECA spokesperson, stressed that this training should be maintained “throughout all educational stages, but especially during adolescence”, a key period for establishing healthy financial habits.
The spokesperson also pointed out that “financial education should not only focus on theoretical concepts, but also on practical skills that allow citizens to make informed decisions in their daily lives”. In this regard, CECA highlights the work many organisations are doing to bring this knowledge closer to children and young people.
For example, financial education programmes launched by CECA entities in 2023 resulted in more than 33.7 million digital interactions.
