For CECA and its member entities, financial literacy and savings education are of paramount importance, which is why they have joined in the celebration of World Savings Day on 31 October, together with numerous entities from all over the world.

WSBI (World Savings and Retail Banking Institute) created this event in 1924 to promote the teaching of skills for the proper management of personal finances and to aspire to a better quality of life. Today, this concept has evolved towards financial education.

This year, WSBI continues its commitment to promoting savings and financial education by launching a new awareness campaign. In line with similar actions undertaken by retail banks and savings banks around the world, the World Institute seeks to encourage individual savings as a collective movement to build resilient generations, regardless of their geographical location. This year's campaign has youth at its very heart, with the aim of encouraging young people to plan their finances, providing them with freedom and security, while contributing to the construction of a strong and savings-conscious society.

To achieve a global impact, WSBI has produced a video associating the concept of savings with several of the Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations, such as education, health and entrepreneurship. This initiative seeks to inspire and empower people around the world to take positive action towards a stronger and more sustainable financial future.

The campaign's slogan is "Conquer your tomorrow", inviting us to set our sights on our future through savings.
