KPMG and Expansión organised the 14th Meeting of the Financial Sector on 9 and 10 October in the Rafael del Pino Auditorium in Madrid, which featured Antonio Romero, our Corporate Director of Association Services and Resources.
Antonio was joined by Gonzalo Gortázar, from CaixaBank; Isidro Rubiales, from Unicaja; Eduardo Ruiz, from KutxaBank; and Víctor Iglesias, from Ibercaja. During the meeting, they discussed the financial sector's clear commitment to sustainability, the importance of smart regulation that provides greater legal certainty, customer support and working with the public sector when addressing the investments required.
In addition to the different entities celebrating over a decade of banking union and capital market union, the first day covered several interesting topics in various interviews and discussions, such as the commitment to solvency and confidence in the banking sector, how Spanish banks have become world leaders in terms of digitalisation, the changing playing field in the new monetary policy...
The second day of the event, in addition to the scheduled interviews, included special speeches by senior executives and a number of panels to discuss global asset managers, the keys to the future of asset management and the main trends in the insurance sector.
