On Wednesday, 13 October, David Alonso, CECA's Head of Technology Services and Projects, participated in the WSBI Innovation Forum, a conference organised by the World Savings and Retail Banking Institute (WSBI) and CaixaBank.
David Alonso commented during his speech: 'Cloud computing is a catalyst for organisations to develop digital products and services in a fast and agile manner, and enables any company, regardless of its size, to access the latest innovations in artificial intelligence or Big Data offered by hyperscale providers'. He continued explaining to this end that 'the journey towards the public cloud is an effort that involves the entire organisation, not just the IT department. Financial, legal, risk and business departments play a key role designing a public cloud adoption strategy'.
Also participating in the round table were Michaela Albrecht, Head of Enterprise Architecture, Erste Group; Mattias Levin, Deputy Head of Unit for Digital Finance, DG FISMA, European Commission; Fanny Solano, Head of Regulatory Affairs & Implementation Management, CaixaBank; and Matto Mannino, Senior Policy Adviser, Digital Finance and Innovation, WSBI-ESBG, who were moderated by Alberto Javier Rosa, Chief Technology Officer, CaixaBank.
