Aula Financiera y Digital Expands Its Offer of Financial and Digital Training Initiatives

The associations AEB, CECA, and Unacc and their entities have incorporated 90 initiatives into the educational platform, representing a 20% increase.

46% of the training offer consists of in-person initiatives, and seven out of ten are dedicated to training on digitalization and cybersecurity.

The number of in-person attendees at financial and digital education programs in the banking sector has increased by 28% in 2023, while the number of online accesses has doubled.

‘Aula Financiera y Digital’, the educational platform promoted by the Asociación Española de Banca (AEB), CECA, and the Unión Nacional de Cooperativas de Crédito (Unacc) to facilitate access for all individuals and allow them to expand their financial and digital knowledge through the various available channels, has expanded its training offer with 90 new training initiatives, which represents a 20% increase.

On its second anniversary, this platform now has more than 500 initiatives, which underscores the banking sector’s commitment to the training of all groups through the different available channels. Furthermore, in 2023, the number of in-person attendees at various programs offered by financial institutions has increased by 28%, while the number of online access to activities has doubled. 46% of the training offer from ‘Aula Financiera y Digital’ consists of in-person initiatives, while a quarter of the content consists of immediately accessible training tools, via videos or podcasts. Recently, a specific space on the platform has also been added to promote knowledge about cybersecurity and prevention, in light of the widespread increase in cyber scams. Thus, 69% of the content from ‘Aula Financiera y Digital’ is dedicated to digitalization and cybersecurity.

‘Aula Financiera y Digital’ thus celebrates two years of activity, establishing itself as a unique training space, in line with the commitments made in the Strategic Protocol to reinforce the social and sustainable commitment of banking. The platform – which was awarded the “Finanzas para todos” prize, a recognition in matters of financial education promoted by the Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores (CNMV), Banco de España, and the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Business – continues to grow to provide all citizens with access to training content in personal finance and digital skills.
