Elimination of cash machine fees and extension of the limit for contactless transactions
We have agreed to eliminate fees for withdrawing cash on debit at any cash machine in the country and to increase the PIN security limit from 20 to 50 euros. With the first measure, customers will be able to go to their closest cash machine without having to worry about fees, thus helping to reduce travel and comply with the recommendations of the authorities regarding mobility. With the second measure, contact with POS terminals is reduced, thus reducing the chances of catching the virus.

Moratorium on loan repayments
We are granting moratoria on loan repayments for people in a vulnerable situation, in accordance with the criteria established by Royal Decree-Act 8/2020. But we are going even further. We have agreed to extend the moratorium to more people and for a longer period of time, to contribute even more to curbing the impact of the health crisis. Any individuals (families and self-employed people) who, as a result of the COVID-19 health crisis, have been economically affected by a furlough (ERTE) or are facing a cessation or reduction of their economic activity or other equivalent circumstances, may request a moratorium on their mortgage or personal loan repayments, without needing to check whether they meet all the requirements provided under the Royal Decree-Act.
