CECA and the Chamber of Commerce of Spain agree on actions to facilitate access to credit for SMEs
The President of CECA, Isidro Fainé, and the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Spain, José Luis Bonet, signed a collaboration agreement today to conduct activities that strengthen the competitiveness of Spanish businesses through improved access to credit.
CECA, through the Fundación de Cajas de Ahorros (FUNCAS), will promote the execution and dissemination of studies and research on regional economics and financing for small and medium-sized enterprises. The Chamber of Commerce of Spain will collaborate on these efforts and will promote and coordinate the participation of the Official Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Services, and Navigation in the actions and events organized with entities associated with CECA.
Promotion of financial education and entrepreneurship
One of the main lines of action will be the promotion of financial education. Workshops may be held for groups such as the unemployed, young people, entrepreneurs, and microenterprises, among others, providing them with the knowledge and tools necessary to obtain bank financing to start their business.
Both the Chambers and the entities associated with CECA continue their special awareness of financial inclusion and the labor integration of certain at-risk groups. The extensive reach of the Chambers of Commerce and the entities associated with CECA ensures that these actions can extend throughout the national territory, thereby contributing to the enhancement of local entrepreneurship.
