HUCHA Challenge Arrives in Madrid: The Interactive Competition for Young People to Reinvent Banking with Innovative Ideas

12 young people will compete so that their generation can have a more significant role in banking through financial education and innovation.

The event will take place in person on March 11 at 5 PM at the Casa del Lector in Madrid, thanks to the collaboration of AEB and CECA with the talent ecosystem, Trivu, and the support of Thinking Heads.

The experience will be streamed online at the Hucha Challenge website, allowing hundreds of young people to participate remotely: https://huchachallenge.com/live/

The event will be hosted by Uri Sabat, a radio and television presenter, who will introduce the challenges and energize the experience.

At a time when new generations face the enormous challenge of entering the labor market in a context of crisis and uncertainty, their perception of finances and how to manage them has changed.

Therefore, the Spanish Banking Association (AEB) and CECA, along with Trivu and in collaboration with Thinking Heads, have joined forces to develop HUCHA Challenge, a live competition for young people to design the bank of the future while overcoming various challenges in a format similar to the entertainment style of television programs. 12 young people who have already been selected will be organized into 3 teams that will meet on March 11, 2021, at 5 PM at La Casa del Lector (Matadero – Madrid). Participants do not necessarily need to be banking experts, but they do have a clear interest in developing knowledge about the financial sector and personal finance.

In addition to the competing teams, other interested individuals will have the opportunity to attend as an online or in-person audience and actively participate in some challenges, strictly adhering to the prevailing health measures to ensure the safest conditions. Attendees can register on the competition’s website www.huchachallenge.com, and for those who choose to watch from home, the experience will be streamed at https://huchachallenge.com/live/.

This groundbreaking new format will generate social impact and allow young people to take a leading role in building the bank of the future through financial education and innovation. In this sense, HUCHA Challenge will feature a dynamic agenda of activities: a presentation of teams followed by content blocks that will mix games and digital challenges; a round table to address myths, advice, and the impact of the sector on society; and a series of live questions through an interactive platform for attendees to participate as well.

The awards ceremony will conclude the event: the winning team will receive a training scholarship valued at 500 euros; the second place will gain free access for one year to the premium subscription of the online educational platform Crehana, and the third place will take home some digital gadgets.
