WSBI Innovation Forum 2021: The horizon of banking r(evolution)

On Wednesday, October 13, David Alonso, Manager of Services and Technological Projects at CECA, participated in the WSBI Innovation Forum, a meeting organized by the World Savings and Retail Banking Institute (WSBI) and CaixaBank. David Alonso commented during his presentation: “Cloud computing is a catalyst for organizations to develop digital products and services quickly and agilely, allowing any company, regardless of size, to access the latest innovations in artificial intelligence or Big Data offered by hyperscale providers.” In this regard, he further explained that “the journey to public cloud is an effort that involves the entire organization, not just the IT department. The financial, legal, risk, and business areas play a fundamental role in designing a public cloud adoption strategy.” The roundtable also featured Michaela Albrecht, Head of Enterprise Architecture at Erste Group; Mattias Levin, Deputy Head of Unit for Digital Finance at DG FISMA, European Commission; Fanny Solano, Head of Regulatory Affairs & Implementation Management at CaixaBank; and Matto Mannino, Senior Policy Adviser for Digital Finance and Innovation at WSBI-ESBG, moderated by Alberto Javier Rosa, Chief Technology Officer at CaixaBank.
