The Board of the Fundación Carolina, of which CECA is a part, approves its Action Plan for 2025

At the Palace of Zarzuela, the XXXV ordinary session of the Board of the Fundación Carolina was held, under the honorary presidency of H.M. the King. Present at the event were the President of the Government and Executive Chairman of the Board, Pedro Sánchez; the First Vice President and Minister of Finance, María Jesús Montero; and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, José Manuel Albares. Among the representatives of the sponsoring companies, the General Director of CECA, José María Méndez, was in attendance.

During the session, the Action Plan for the year 2025 of the Foundation was approved, which presents a graduate and doctoral scholarship call for 735 scholarships: a 10% increase from the previous edition.

The plan incorporates significant new features, such as the notable increase in scholarships for human rights and democracy; the creation of a new program with the Ibero-American Organization of Social Security; and the expansion of the mobility program with the CSIC. The vision of the Action Plan for 2025, marked by the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Fundación Carolina, lies in the multiplication of alliances and networks, prioritizing a “multi-actor logic” to establish a robust and stable platform of relationships among its members.

The event was also attended by the Minister of Education, Vocational Training and Sports, Pilar Alegría; the Minister of Economy, Trade and Business, Carlos Cuerpo; the Secretary of State for Ibero-America and the Caribbean and Spanish Abroad, Susana Sumelzo; the Secretary of State for International Cooperation, Eva Granados; the director of the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation, Antón Leis; the director of Cultural and Scientific Relations of the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation, Santiago Herrero; and the General Director for Ibero-America and the Caribbean, Francisco Javier Gassó.
