SPECIAL FINANCIAL EDUCATION. The pending task of strengthening the economic culture of society
Alberto Aza, spokesperson for CECA, participated in the special on financial education published by ABC, emphasizing the importance of starting to work on this subject from an early age. The report analyzes the current state of financial education in Spain, highlighting that, despite advances, there is still much work to be done. Alberto Aza has insisted that this training must be maintained “throughout all educational stages, but especially during adolescence,” a key stage for consolidating healthy financial habits. Furthermore, the spokesperson has pointed out that “financial education should not only focus on theoretical concepts but also on practical skills that allow citizens to make informed decisions in their daily lives.” In this regard, CECA highlights the work that many entities are doing to bring this knowledge closer to children and young people. For example, the financial education programs promoted by CECA entities in 2023 generated over 33.7 million digital accesses.
