Manifesto to Facilitate Access to and Use of Digital Technologies for Older Adults
The Internet Day Steering Committee, of which CECA is a part, presented on March 17 at the XVI CLABE Congress the Manifesto to Facilitate Access to and Use of Digital Technologies for Older Adults. The manifesto is one of the main activities held in connection with World Internet Day, which will be celebrated on May 17. The central theme chosen for the 2022 edition is “Internet and Digital Technologies for Older Adults and Healthy Aging.” The aim of this edition is to highlight the Internet and new technologies as essential tools to help achieve healthy aging, giving older adults the role and visibility they deserve in society.
Julio César Fernández Ramos, Business Development and Operations Support Director of CECA, participated in the CABLE Congress by reading part of the context of the manifesto: “The choice of digital technologies from a human perspective, taking into account the group of #OlderAdults, will contribute to their empowerment as citizens, their personal development, improvement of their daily lives, and healthier aging. All this, in turn, makes us all better as a society.”
From the CECA sector, as members of the Internet Day Steering Committee, we endorse and support this manifesto.
