Once again, the CECA sector joins the celebration of Financial Education Day

Little by little, we are learning details about the Financial Education Day 2023, which will be celebrated on Monday, October 2nd. We already know the theme for this year, which focuses on inclusive finance.

Throughout our lives, we all manage financial concepts, from saving our allowance when we are young to buy something we desire, opening a current account to receive our salary, to managing a utility bill or understanding what taking out a loan means or planning for our retirement. In all stages of life, financial education will allow us to make informed decisions: to use money responsibly and manage personal finances effectively.

For CECA, its associated entities, and Funcas, this commitment to society becomes even more necessary in the current context, where financial education has become an essential tool to empower citizens, who must face a changing reality, a consequence of digitalization and the uncertainties of recent years.

In this new environment, it is vital to have financially responsible individuals who can manage their resources most effectively and utilize the new digital technologies available to them to acquire and improve their knowledge and skills.

The entities associated with CECA are aware of these needs and, through their programs, share their experience, knowledge, and reach throughout the territory, catering to young people, adults, and our elders. With these initiatives, we promote the improvement of financial culture, which supports the stability of the system, financial inclusion, and social cohesion.
