Do you think you have found a unique solution, but are afraid of failure or need financial muscle to develop it? Have you created an innovative service or product, but lack the support to promote it?

The fear of not succeeding and the lack of assistance from the Administration are the main obstacles faced by Spanish entrepreneurs, according to a report from the Entrepreneurship Observatory in Spain. Furthermore, the business survival rate in our country does not exceed five years, and one in three projects dies before that period, according to another study by Iberinform.

However, if one knocks on doors, it is possible to find organizations that support entrepreneurial activity entrepreneurial. An example is the ‘Entrepreneurs’ project of the Fundación Caja de Burgos, which celebrates its tenth anniversary this year with the aim of “transforming innovative ideas into effective companies”.

In the latest episode of Ideas with Value, Javier Cuasante, head of Business Dynamism at the Fundación Caja de Burgos, explains the two phases of the program as incubator and accelerator of projects with the aim of “extending them over time, supporting those as they pass through years or go through stages and incorporating new ones that generate new opportunities.”

The program covers the costs of creating prototypes, market studies, and necessary technical certifications for the startup and facilitates financing through participatory loans or capital investments.

It is not aimed at any specific sector, and one of the two requirements is that it incorporates a differential, innovative component, which does not necessarily have to be technological. The other concerns job creation.
