CECA: “We are a key player in financial education”
On the occasion of Financial Education Day celebrated on October 7th, Alberto Aza, spokesperson for CECA, participated in the program ‘Mercado Abierto’ on Capital Radio.
In the interview, Alberto Aza emphasized the key role that the financial sector plays in improving the level of financial education among the population. According to the spokesperson: “Throughout life, we make many financial decisions, and it is important that we make them with knowledge and in an informed manner, as otherwise, the risks can be significant.”
Aza also pointed out the poor level of financial knowledge among Spaniards and the needs arising from digitalization, particularly those related to the digital divide and aspects of cybersecurity.
To address these challenges, the spokesperson indicated that the CECA sector has invested nearly 18 million euros over the past six years, as mentioned in the Executive report on financial education, placing CECA among the largest investors in financial culture in Spain.
