With almost a hundred years of history, CECA is a reference of trust, responsibility, and commitment to society. The Confederation represents a retail banking close to the territory, at the service of people and communities, combining financial activity with a Social Work formed by all associated entities that make it the main private social investor in Spain. We look forward with conviction, reinforcing financial education, inclusion, and the economic, social, and sustainable development of our country.
The role of CECA is to represent and strengthen the role of associated entities as a social driver, influencing rigorously in the debates that define the economic and financial future, generating knowledge and articulating the cooperation of the sector to contribute to connecting the financial system with the main needs of society.
This work is carried out with a sustainable approach, in which the Social Work and financial education are a fundamental pillar.

CECA is part of the World Institute of Savings Banks and Retail Banks (WSBI). The model that identifies these entities is based on the three “R”.

The Social Work of the entities associated with CECA is the first private social investor in Spain, demonstrating their commitment to a fairer and more equitable society.
Financial education
CECA, its associated entities, and Funcas continue to work in their social vocation with the conviction that financial education is more necessary than ever. It is vital to have financially responsible citizens, who manage their resources as effectively as possible, and to deepen digitalization when disseminating knowledge and skills.
Sustainability
CECA and its associated entities are aware that the financial sector can promote changes that bring them closer to fulfilling the 2030 Agenda, which marks the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, to complete actions for social and environmental improvement worldwide. Furthermore, CECA endorses the Charter for Responsible and Sustainable Business of WSBI-ESBG.
