Sustainability

CECA and its affiliated entities are aware that the financial sector can promote changes that bring them closer to achieving the 2030 Agenda, which outlines the 17 Sustainable Development Goals to complete social and environmental improvement actions worldwide. Furthermore, CECA endorses the Charter for Responsible and Sustainable Business of WSBI-ESBG.

The work of CECA in sustainability is characterized by the consolidation of the frameworks developed in previous years and by the challenge of adapting to an increasingly demanding, complex, and changing regulatory environment.

The progressive integration of ESG factors (Environmental, Social, and Governance Criteria) into financial activity has consolidated as a structural element that permeates the functioning of entities, from strategy to daily operations.

Thus, CECA has directed its actions towards strengthening the common approach of the sector, promoting knowledge exchange and the development of shared solutions that allow coordinated responses to the challenges of the sustainable transition.

The financial system continues to play a key role in this process, not only as a channel for resources towards activities aligned with sustainability but also as a driving force for changes in the productive model.
