Social work and inclusion

Work Social

The Social Work of the CECA sector is the largest private social investor in Spain.

The Social Work carried out by the entities associated with CECA, plays an essential role as an irreplaceable lever for social, cultural, and economic progress, as well as a complement to public administration programs and within the framework of the welfare state, to build a fairer, more cohesive, and inclusive society.

The Social Work must stand by the people, especially those in situations of greater vulnerability, providing support, companionship, and opportunities.

All of this is possible thanks to the efforts of CECA entities that carry out Social Work, which -due to their proximity to the community, collaboration, adaptability, and reach- have been able to identify the needs being demanded at every moment to reach those who need it the most.

In this sense, Social Work not only responds to immediate needs but also contributes to strengthening collective resilience, promotes equality of opportunities, and supports initiatives that generate a transformative and lasting impact on the social fabric.

Evolution of Social Work 2014-2025

The Law 26/2013, of December 27, of savings banks and banking foundations, marks the starting point of a new stage for the Social Work of CECA Foundations, which continue to contribute and support millions of people with special needs and at risk of exclusion.
